Some of these Crown Research Institutes that are now to be merged into a few larger groups (Earth Science, BioEconomy, etc) have only just wrapped up their last round of (Government mandated, internal) restructuring. So I suspect the next financial year (July 2025 onwards) will be rather disrupted too 😬

@ewenmcneill Maybe they’re counting on people getting fed up and leaving the country so they disestablish them and turn their facilities into Air BnB’s for the tourists?

@irix it’ll certainly be interesting if a non-trivial portion of the remaining staff have to reapply for positions in the merged organisations. I guess time will tell how chaotic an implementation plan the Government has in mind.
