@astrid Oh, damn. This is a tough one...
I think I'd have to say uranium, only because it's on my bucket list to hold a piece of natural uranium in my own two hands at least once in my life, just so I can behold the sheer density of it.
A whole lotta transition and post-transition metals have really awesome chemical and physical properties each worth their own individual shouts.
But two that go unsung are vanadium and molybdenum, very commonly found in alloys for the properties they give!

i have loads of those kinds of magnets
when i was younger i used to love niobium due to its heat properties.
Perhaps in future my favourite would become an alloy because of materials science things
