(Context: I have an external USB-C ethernet adapter that I use to share internet connection with some embedded devices and to do some woman-in-the-middle tasks with them, and it has stopped giving DHCP, while on a different laptop it works perfectly, so it's a software update issue and not a kernel update one, because the problem persists when booting from an older kernel. Fuck my life.)
