@neauoire how many watts total after this addition/replacement? congrats :)
single-sided? bifacial?

@klardotsh we're replacing a 90w hard panel same size and a 100w flexible, we're only gaining 10w, but both the ones we have are very damaged, especially the flexible which delaminated.

@neauoire oh yeah, I remember how much you and rek hated that lil flexi panel from hell. congrats, glad you're gonna have a more stable setup now!

@klardotsh It's a bit too cold to handle metal outside, but once it warms up we'll hook em up! It'll be nice to get rid of the flexible one.

@neauoire π€ Shouldn't they supposed to be installed OUTSIDE? And preferably non-stacked?

@neauoire Your eventual plan is to block out the sun, like Mr Burns, isn't it? π

@neauoire
May solar panels of equal wattage still present efficiency differences? Also, are you expecting these to resist the elements for longer?

@christophemarois well our old glass one that we got second hand is quite old, if these last equally as long I'll be happy : )
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from neauoire@merveilles.town
@christophemarois @neauoire These are glass and typically last a minimum of 10 years with little performance loss. Flexible panels are plastic and typically last 3 years but often begin to fail after just one and lose performance before that. Worse if you actually flex them regularly or walk on them.
