GARH what's making it use that fucking font
FC_DEBUG=1 claims it's using Cantarell, Times, Arial, Ubuntu and nothing else but my eyes disagree

@deneb Does that change depending on the app?
I believe both GTK and Qt have their own font configs/overrides, so depending on what toolkit a program uses to render its UI, that might change.

@deneb Also for that app specifically (sounds like an Electron webapp):

@kithop electron yes
it's just Arduino IDE that's fucked (and pesistently so)
the editor font is fine, and it doesn't let you choose the font for the rest of the UI

@deneb Hmm, I'm going to go back to my first guess, then.

Not sure what desktop environment you're using, but if it's GNOME (GTK3) or KDE Plasma (Qt 5/6), checking these configs might be worth a shot.
You can likely test different environment variables there when starting the IDE out of a terminal window before committing to anything system-wide.
