One of the worst feeling in the world, as an adult, is the one you get when you hear the trash truck driving down the street and you realize you forgot to put your bin out last night.
It’s the adult equivalent of showing up to school and forgetting your homework.

@vmstan That is indeed a bit crap. It has Meade me realise however that one of very few advantages of living in a 150yr old terrace is that my bins live right where they’re collected from, so I never have to think about this.

@mattwilcox yeah I have to pull mine around from the backside of our house. The trucks usually hit my side of the street first, and then turn around at the end and get the other side, so sometimes (like today) we can rush out and throw it next to someone on the other side and cross our fingers that the crew aren't a bunch of jerks.
