I've been putting myself through some shit the last week. As you know, I've got ehlers danlos. What you probably don't know is I've got the kind that throws your spine out of shape and then tries to fuse it there (kypho-scoliosis version). The past month it's been pretending not to be a spine and my tendons have tightened to the point I think my achilies has been tearing. I decided it was time for a change...

I put my own back into alignment. Yeah, it's painful. I had to be on a heating pad for two days relaxing all the muscles and it got so bad that it started causes muscle spasms in my throat. The first few days I couldn't sit up for a handful of minutes at a time. Now it's longer and I haven't been using the heating pad.

Every morning I get up and lie on the floor letting all the crampy muscles that have been pulling my spine out of shape in the night relax. Then, I start stretching. Through out the day I have to mentally check to see if my spine is changing it's mind about being a spine and either stretch or lie down on the couch or floor. And you know what? It's working. I'm spending less and less time trying to fix it and more time with it where it should be.

Also, my achilies is recovering and I'm going to start working on strengthening it soon. So, while this was painful as hell and I do not recommend it. It's working and I'm recovering from 3 years of back damage.
