I really like Tailscale as a technology, but think https://tailscale.com/blog/welcome-grace-lin-10000-customers sounds like it's going to enshittify eventually, that it's just a matter of time.
This closing thought reads like a threat to me: "We want Tailscale to be as ubiquitous as the Internet itself, not because we want to own the Internet, but because the Internet can't be allowed to fail at its original purpose: connecting your devices to each other."

@jezdez The former CEO blog post https://tailscale.com/blog/new-internet had the same kind of "totalitarian" vibe of "we want it all".
I'll just sit here, patting my tiny poorly connected wireguard node and just not scratch that itch of connecting everything through tailscale just because I could.
