I love the concept of #iPRES bake-off but, if we consider that #digipres is people, couldn't we showcase the skills rather than the tools?

I would love to see how highly-skilled digital archivists interact, analyze, transform, make sense of a big heterogeneous digital fonds with the toolset they master!

@BertrandCaron Ooh, that would be awesome! I imagine it would involve people intensely staring at screens, muttering things like "the byte at offset 42 should be 0x01, hmm ...", but who wouldn't want to see that? Count me in! ;-)

@BertrandCaron like a "riddle track" with a suprise pantry? or with a guest chef who brings 3 mystery ingredients and you have to do something with it? i really like the idea.

i'm wondering how people feel about the bake-off in general and if it should be modified. do you see this as an addition to the existing format, as a replacement or as something else?

What I heard from the people who attended it suggests it's extremely appreciated as is, so I would not change too much the current form. Maybe take one of the three slots to test this?
