What r u's thinking about merging community supported agriculture (CSA) and local music events? - I stumbled upon "Jazzshares" a non-profit organization from Massachusetts where folks can buy shares for concerts which than pays the musicians from these shares.
Do you think this model could work in your local or musical community as well?

Yeah, it does seem to be more along the lines of doing a Kickstarter (or indeed veg box).
I think you might probably need an already established scene or at least venue for people to get on board, but in principle I like it!
