The term "modern" implies "better", but is incredibly fleeting and often only means "different". In technology it is pure marketing. I tend to skip any post that contains it. Let's use "current" and provide date context.

@codepo8 in relation to JavaScript projects, "modern" almost guarantees they've learnt nothing from the "old" and made all the same mistakes/bugs

at least that's how I write modern JavaScript 😅
