Here's a fun clue for people who are obsessing over how much time has passed since S1 (Milchick said 5 months, but why would we believe anything any Lumon employee says about anything?)

@simon what a mix of viewers who are detail-oriented and those who just want to spin a story.

It bothers me that a lot of them assume that Mark Scout knows about Ms. Casey. Mark S didn’t shout, “Devon! My dead wife is alive and severed with an assumed name!” No, Mark S discovered Eleanor, a baby girl whose life may have been in jeopardy, and shouted, “Devon! She’s alive!” It’s reasonable to assume Devon replied, “Yup! Thanks for finding my baby girl!”

I’m saying there’s a difference between Mark S and Mark Scout. Mark S recognized Gemma as Ms. Casey. Mark S shouted “She’s alive”. Mark Scout would have to be told that Mark S shouted that, and Devon and Mark Scout would have to interpret its meaning.

@simon The other reason we know that it hasn't been five months is that Milchick has to use a computer that greets him as Ms. Cobel, and he has the level of irritation that you would expect if he put up with that for a few days, not for five months.
