I really don't think Trump's talk of ending birthright citizenship is getting enough attention, being too easily dismissed as unlikely to execute.
It is literally the equivalent of the Reichsbürgergesetz under the Nuremberg Laws.

On one of Trump's first day's most vile executive orders (hard to pick, I admit) -- the ending of #birthright #citizenship -- I'm seeing a lot of "oh, the courts are almost certainly not going to allow this", and I really don't think people have fully internalized the extent of the Republican corruption.

@jschauma - I was thinking about this today and why he would do it. The only thing I could come up with is that #birthright gives the US less control over the amount of citizens entering the country. Since we are having a hard time taking care of all our citizens as it is.., maybe he thinks if we can limit the amount of new citizens, we have a better chance to rebuild? And we can always change it back when things are better? Curious to know your thoughts too!
