Coven Farm
Year 2 Week 3
Spring has ended and summer begins! I made a decent profit from my crops this month, but I'll definitely need to focus on just farming if I expect to make it big that way. Fortunately, I don't care to make it big, so I'll just continue my rather wide focus, including growing crops, raising animals, mining, fishing, and general forage. I'm making a life here in Stardew, not just a business.
This last week of spring was much more relaxed than most weeks, due to the fact there were only a few days left worth planting crops. Stardew's extreme climate changes at the turn of the season means almost nothing lives past the end of a season, so 🤷
Finally got my pickaxe upgraded to iridium this week. Took me ages to collect enough ore for it. I'm told the deeper I go in Skull Cave to more prevalent iridium ore gets, but that place is still a huge danger to me.

Even assuming I survive the cave, though, it's extremely slow going. I may start bringing some bombs with me. I also might ask around and see if I can't find the folks that built the elevator in the mines and commission similar work in Skull Cave...
I built a geode crusher this week. It's going to be fantastic not having to schlep all those geodes and mystery boxes to Clint to crack them open! I hope he gets a lot of business besides me, though. I've spent a lot of cash smashing those things.
Those big stone chests definitely helped with the crowding at home! Unfortunately, I'm really wanting to ramp up my wine production, which means I need a cellar sooner than later. This next reno is mighty expensive, though, and doesn't even get me a cellar yet! I guess I can fill the nursery with kegs for a while...

I forgot to mention another festival I happened on last week, by the way... They call it the "Virility Festival" and apparently it happens every Spring 19 in the Secret Woods. Seems to mainly be an excuse for most of the men in town to get together for some public group sex, though they do sell some products to raise money for sexual health and wellness research.
I'm a naturalist and exhibitionist at heart, so I'm excited they're trusting me enough to let me in on this now! They told me to keep an eye out because they have a similar festival every month. I wonder what the next one will be like...
