Finished The Cosmic Computer yesterday. Pretty good except for when late 50s / early 60s sexism butted in. At least good enough to take a look at the rest of the Terran Federation books by #HBeamPiper

Next book on my #Traveller reading list is Foundation. I tried this once before a few years back and remember being ambivalent about it but don't remember why. But #Asimov is definitely on my hit/miss list.

I've seen a lot of complaints that the interstellar economics make no sense, but I'm inclined to think the Federation had some stupid economic policies, and Klem Zareff (sp?) was right about economic oppression motivation for the war.

@cptbutton Eh, I've lived through 3 financial collapses by my 30s and seen what luxury goods still go for during them.

The economics don't not make sense enough for me to notice. They seem close enough to life, figuring that we're getting the perspective of the kid who could run off to Terra for college and whose dad could start eight companies straight away, not one of the "farm tramps"
