Hey Masto, I can't even remember the name of the video platform in the fedi because last I looked it was not done baking.

A lot of people on TikTok, and I mean a lot are saying they'll leave if Meta buys TikTok.

Prime opportunity. Helloooo.

But I know it's not done baking enough to onload all those people from TikTok.

Shame really.

Wonder where they'll end up.

Oh and Meta WILL be co-owner with TikTok if it's not already. I think it is already.

When creators upload a video now, if they have the messenger app on their phone, it opens.

And on Facebook & Instagram, you can now add your TikTok account.

@elfin they solved the problem of downtime. No refunds to porn subscribers for 2min 36sec downtime.

TikTok openly went down under the guise of a ban.

Then voila! Back up again.

Enough time to "update" with new software!

A foreign company is going to be appropriated (read: stolen) for why?

If I owned TikTok I'd tell America to fuck up a rope and drop the continent. Instead, they are going to capitulate. The fuck?

Get a fucking grip assholes. You lost the fight before it started.

This is a hostile takeover of a company from a foreign entity. There is no Legal International Law that describes this. And it's bullshit. Anyone my age that's got two brain cells to rub together can see it.

Also, I never see anyone talk about their marketplace...

They make Amazon look like the joke that they are. Returns are done immediately. No questions asked. Makers have made huge amounts of money. It's not just videos, though I watched more wildfire videos than all of YouTube.
