This is interesting...
So, I recently moved house (last weekend, duh), about 500 or so meters from where I used to live.
In Google Maps (I know, sorry), we (my wife and myself) have our home location set.
My wife hasn't updated it yet, neither have I.
My Android phone correctly shows me at our new home.
My wife's iPhone, insists my wife is at our old place.
Because it's a "close enough", it seems the GPS is manipulated to be set to (what used to be) home?

I've not tested much yet, but I assume that at some point, if she's far enough from old home, or moving enough, the location might properly update.

@Firesphere did you bring the same WiFi AP from the old to new house? Some platforms use WiFI AP known locations for more precise location indoors (where they see fewer GPS satellites).
(I do agree it’s likely that the fact you’ve moved only “margin of error of imprecise GPS fix” is probably a factor too.)

@ewenmcneill @Firesphere lol my geolocation switched to the other side of town once, which I assumed was because someone else had moved into the area and brought their AP with them 🙂 I now name SSIDs uniquely for different locations.
