So, my best friend from grade school texted me. He's a big union guy with a major #union in California.
He is hardcore never #Trumper but understood why many in the union were against #Harris and #Biden.
So, texts me today shocked by how fast #Trump was moving on the #Constitution. He seemed a little irritated that I didn't seem shocked (I'm not even a little--Trump campaigned on it and Project 2025 wrote a 900 page book on the plan).

This is a smart guy, fairly well informed. Reads Heather Cox Richardson.
But he seemed genuinely surprised that #Trump did what Trump said he was going to do.
It's the same story I've heard from my liberal organizer friend who is hyper-focused on local issues. That person has friends who refused to vote because "both sides" bull shit.
I feel like that friend is also a bit surprised.
It's almost those of us screaming for two years Trump 2.0 will be a catastrophe weren't just being shrill.

My organizer friend agreed that they, the friend, couldn't sit this out because #Trump is that big of a threat.
But this person also "understood" their other friends' point of view.
I just can't get over how much this is Germany 1933 all over again.
"Yeah, but the communists, yeah but the centrists, yeah but the conservatives, yeah but..." yeah but, FASCISTS. TEAM TRUMP ARE FASCISTS. NO 'YEAH BUT' THEY ARE FASCISTS AND THAT'S THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS.
