The mutualist, automatically-updating shared defenses we need for social networks are going to be needed at the IP layer too. If we're going to have room to curate good actions we need to automate the process of blocking bad actors.

People seem to rag on the Matrix team a lot on here, but they've had The Correct Approach - opt-in, auto-updating publish-subscribe blocklisting - for this problem working in production for... five? Six years, now? ... in which people and communities who trust each other can see an act of self-defense become act of collective defense with zero intervention.
We need this for IPTables.
