There's a genre of response I see in political threads against oligarchs that goes something like "oh you're just jealous of their {power,money,success}"

And I'm like, oh, no, I don't think this fond feeling toward guillotines and burning piles of money can be accurately described as jealousy...

@lmorchard It says more about them than you -- they can't conceive of a life that values something other than power over others.
