I dig out the frightening bits--that's all there are--from Edelman's Trust Barometer. It's all about grievances: Festivus for all of us. Nobody trusts or believes anybody, which says to me that right-wing campaigns of fear work. 1/

@jeffjarvis increasingly obviously true. Case in point - we see Elon doing a Nazi salute, CNN says odd gesture. If this is what most people see instead of an investigative report about something by ProPublica, they'd rightfully conclude that mainstream media is not telling them what they need to know. They might even conclude that perhaps the media is whitewashing.
