What fascists say: “we don't believe in climate change”

What they believe: climate change is an opportunity to profiteer off disasters, to weaponize climate harms, to let the poor freeze/roast to death and the middle class go bankrupt.

They "believe" in #climatechange just fine. #necropolitics

@Thebratdragon they will tell you that, sure, there's more disasters but humans didn't cause any of it.

They are lying, of course. They know.

More importantly: they don't care if insurance companies cut cover. Who does it bankrupt? The middle class. The rich are finding ways to "short" the climate crisis, ie make money off the disaster.

If your house burns down, they'll happily scoop up that property for pennies on the dollar, flip it, sell it to the next person to be left holding the bag

@susankayequinn Realizing that all this talk about the US acquiring Greenland and Canada was related to Putin's push for fossil fuels (because Russia + global warming = more farmland) made me eyeroll so hard.

@Lironah the amount of bullshit lies they will spout will fill the ocean; it's better not to take them in

I'm avoiding it whenever possible because there is nothing they SAY that matters, pay attention only to what actual actions they take (and then only if it helps to counter them).
