i use @ivory as an app for mastodon for my phone, it shows quote posts and the graphic design is intuitive for me.

posts set to Public will show on our server's "local" timeline, but your Home feed is everyone you follow. you can also follow hashtags like #alaska or #bloomscrolling for tagged posts in your feed
