For some people of my parents' or grandparents' generation, the idea of buying a German car or German-made appliances was anathema. “Nice, but I would never drive a Mercedes.” I always thought it was a bit of an affectation.

I wonder how many generations will abhor Tesla & other American cars.

@MikeTRose Tesla absolutely, but let’s not lump Rivian and other good American automakers in there.
