how tf is there not a way to send faxes from a PBX?

it's just sound just fucking encode that jpg I give you, dial the damned number, start screaming at the other end

I interviewed a few years back for a fax company. It's insane how many business still use faxes, especially in the medical field.

Are you saying the PBX software doesn't support faxes, or that if you hook up an old Fax Modem, the compression kills the data signal?
