Remarkable. This morning, as I was taking a shower, before I’d read this article, I asked myself what word I’d use to describe these people, including Friedrich Merz, the candidate for Germany’s Conservative Party. The word I arrived at was “embarrassing”.
I feel we’re stuck in Idiocracy, and it’s deeply cringe.
