Don’t waste time arguing with the people telling us that’s not what happened. They’re not mistaken, they are engaged in propaganda.

“Are you suggesting he’s a Nazi?!” He is a powerful tech-right extremist with a long track record of buying into/spreading racist, white supremacist conspiracies doing the Nazi salute.

Noticing which newspaper writes what and how about this insult to humanity, the outlets that have "conservative" tendencies just play it down by asking an either/or question.

@tzimmer_history I think the probability that he didn't know what he was doing is about the same as the probability he did it as a dare with someone on 4chan and the fact that we can entertain these two options is in itself a problem.

@tzimmer_history If you look closely, he is clenching his lips by biting his bottom lip with his upper teeth while raising his hand. This is an expression of intense anger or wrath.
