@Mae the number of times someone said to me that companies these days will hire absolutely incompetent people with zero experience just because these people tick the DEI boxes.
While I'm struggling to find a job with my vast experience and stellar feedback, and see how jobs I was applying to are filled with mediocre techbros instead, and how out of 100 people who interviewed me post-HR, only like five or less were not men, and five or less were not white (judging by looks or by names), and how most of the companies I'm applying to have engineering teams consisting of 20 white techbros and zero non-men and zero non-white people (judging by looks or by names). (Not sure about statistics for neurodiversity because it's hidden, but also apparently most popular manifestations of neurodiversity are treated as business as usual for tech men and as red flags for anybody else)
