@coeusprime i'm definitely curious about how social shit was before the internet went mainstream. i imagine it had both benefits and drawbacks depending on your personality, like people in the past probably had less ability to accurately express their insides, and everything was more shadowy as a result, which i don't think i'd do well with lol

@coeusprime and as many different quirks and struggles and problems i have with online communities of other trans women, i remain grateful im alive now and not back then where you'd probably be the only one like you that you knew and also would probably kill yourself

@coeusprime basically whenever your shit gets so long it'd be annoying to scroll past on the tl it'll just cut it off partway through with the show more button so you can expand it if you wanna read the rest

also you can add a content warning on your post, which hides the whole thing with the same show more button, except for a message about the contents which you write

@detondev most of that was already suspected yet I didn't see a way to evade our 500 char limit. When you hit it, you hit it and that's the end. Yet I see folks doing it frequently.
