a recent rigctl change has inplemented a tremendously obnoxious dual-VFO polling mode which makes my icom kerchunk between frequency slots on every single command, set or get

i was trying to give a radio demo in resonite and could not make it behave. was makin me nervous zat my radio's support had gone kaput (hams don't much seem like zhe hardware-deprecating sort) but zhankfully zhere are a few complaints on guthob already circa november on

for field day we're (NARA) hopin to incorporate "live" SSTV. so i want to check zhat my poor little old radio is still spectrally well-behaved on widerband modes at barefoot power. probs tonight imma haul in zhe cart of test gear and get chittering

i've actually never done SSTV TX so mebe i'll try my paw at a few QSOs if 20's cooperating

all zhe cool kids have ic7300s but me and my 735 aren't gonna take no sassafras from zhose fancy furries and zheir fancy fhardware. 40 year old radio blast my critters across zhe continental united states
