May I ask a stupid question? Do you prefer using hashtags within the text oder better as a seperate line after the text...? Are there any advantages for this and that variant?
I myself find it sometimes a bit confusing to read texts which have the hashtags inside...

@Amiga_News Personally, if there are few hashtags I include them in the post body, if there are too much with a resulting confusing text I put them on the bottom, the only problem is that putting them on the bottom they eat preciuos characters :)

Thank you very much for your answers!
Well, okay, then the extra characters needed for that line seem to be the only drawback.
Honestly, I don't quite understand why Mastodon adopted this hashtag feature from Twitter.
In principle, it's just a special emphasis on a word. It could have been done differently, I think?!

@Amiga_News @allanon @didier it makes it easy to follow a topic, i guess

@ghosttie @allanon @didier
Of course. But I think they could have managed it in a different way...for example just by writing it bold...?

@Amiga_News @ghosttie @allanon probably just easier because that’s what people are already used to.
Clients could render it in bold though if they chose to.

@Amiga_News agreed. I’ve been putting them after the text most of the time now

@Amiga_News I believe it works better for screenreaders if it's at the bottom rather than in the text
