@droidboy vor einigen Jahren hatte Heise ein paar Lösungen getestet, und nichts war gut. Schlussfolgerung vom Artikel: nimm rsync.

Vorteil von rsync ist dass die resultierende Festplatte ein benutzbares Filesystem Abbild ist. Man braucht also gar kein Restore sondern kann die Platte im Notfall direkt so nutzen.

Rsync ist leider ein commandline tool.
