Ich nehme Tipps, Kommentare und nutzlose Rants entgegen für einen Wohnmobilurlaub in UK, genauer: Nordengland.

Überfahrt scheint nur per Fähre Callais/Dover oder Eurotunnel bezahlbar.

Stellplätze sind, macht es den Eindruck, nicht gerade weit verbreitet.

Erwartet meine Dankbarkeit, aber keine Antwort.

@eazy der @crossgolf_rebel kennt sich zumindest mit Zelten in Schottland aus und hat sicher ein, zwei Tipps. Ich habe heute gelesen, dass man ab April eine Einreisegenehmigung braucht. Das nur schon mal für die Urlaubs-Checkliste https://www.adac.de/news/einreise-grossbritannien-eta/

@Schaarsen @eazy @crossgolf_rebel Jo, die ist bei mir auch schon auf der Checkliste, wobei ich tatsächlich am Tag vorher wohl schon auf der Insel eintrudeln werde, hab Anfang April diese Diploma-Übergabe. ... Es ist alles ... schonmal besser gewesen.

@eazy Ich erinnere einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit einer Tour durch die Cumbrian Mountains. Das ist knapp vor dem Wall und an der irischen See. Wir sind damals mit dem Auto von See zu See gefahren und haben in B&Bs übernachtet. Wie es dort mit Camping aussieht weiss ich nicht. Leeds fand ich auch eine Reise wert, aber wahrscheinlich nur, weil ich dort von Freunden und Kollegen rumgeführt wurde.

@eazy was meinst du mit Stellplätzen? "Frei" stehen ist nicht an vielen Orten möglich. Wenn du keine Campingplätze nutzen möchtest, musst du mitunter etwas länger suchen.

@andijah Öhm. Naja. Stellplätze halt. Bezahlte Parkplätze speziell für Wohnmobile mit einem Grad an Infrastruktur.

@eazy such mal nach Pub stopovers in der Gegend, in die du möchtest.

Sowas wie "camping municipal" wie in Frankreich ist meiner Erfahrung nach eher selten. Aber ich war auch schon ein Weilchen nicht mehr dort.

In Schottland ist "overnight parking" an den meisten Orten inzwischen leider nicht mehr erlaubt.

@eazy UK fällt bei den meisten Netzbetreibern weiterhin als Ausnahme unters EU-Roaming. Allerdings nicht mehr bei einigen der Budget-Anbieter. Bei jenen scheint man zumindest bei denen auf der sicheren Seite zu sein, die ihre Dienste im Telekom-Netz anbieten.
