This is such a weird moment. Just hours away from a regime with staunchly authoritarian desires taking power - but also trying to handle the responsibilities of everyday life. A strange mixture of normalcy and emergency.

@tzimmer_history also struggling with this. I'm struggling with how not only Trump escaped justice but was elevated back to president. Four years ago it was unthinkable.
