It’s my book birthday! Ashes & Stones, my debut nonfiction book, is two years old today. Here I am holding it at the Waterstones in Aberdeen—the closest bookshop to where I was living at the time. The other picture is me beside the Aberdeen memorial to women accused of witchcraft in Aberdeen and to women activists in the shire—including women who opposed T#%*! annexation of land in the shire. Carrie Reichardt used ceramic tiles in a zine like format. Sadly this memorial is where the bins are kept and the mural is now vandalised. (This is actually a pattern—bins and vandalism—a theme I address in the book.) #Witches #WitchesOfMastodon #Scotland #Aberdeenshire #bookstodon
