It’s my book birthday! Ashes & Stones is two years old today. I’m holding it at the Waterstones in #Aberdeen—the closest bookshop to where I was living at the time. The other pic is me beside the Aberdeen memorial to women accused of #witchcraft in Aberdeen and activists in the shire—including women who opposed T#%*!’s annexation of land. Carrie Reichardt used ceramic tiles in a zine-like format. #Witches #WitchesOfMastodon #Scotland #Aberdeenshire #bookstodon #WritingCommunity

Sadly this memorial is where the bins are kept and the mural is now vandalised. (This is actually a pattern—bins and vandalism—a theme I address in the book.)
