@lovisix Sorry, I have it only on server...

@lovisix if you get firmware/modules through pkg, then you have to rebuild the corresponding ports yourself as official packages are still only built for 14.1

@daftaupe
Did you have any link?

@lovisix yes, the warning on https://docs.freebsd.org/en/books/handbook/cutting-edge/#freebsdupdate-upgrade

@lovisix and also the section about drm-kmod in https://www.freebsd.org/releases/14.2R/errata/#open-issues

@lovisix dunno about WiFi but given the time, graphics probably requires:
[#] cd /usr/ports/graphics/drm-kmod
[#] make install
[#] sysrc kld_list+=i915kms
[#] kldload i915kms

@lovisix
Which WiFi card?
As for X11 - up to 2025/03/01 all kernel related pkg(8) packages will remain broken on 14.2 (as long as 14.1 is in support) - so please build drm-kmod from FreeBSD Ports instead using pkg(8) packages.

@vermaden
Did intel 8265/8275 could be a correct information ?
Btw, I didn't how to compile drm-kmod.
Thanks for your help
=> More informations about this toot | More toots from lovisix@social.zdx.fr
Yes, 8265 is supported by iwm(4) driver.
As for the drm-kmod from Ports - do these:
[#] cd /usr/local/etc
[#] cp gitup.conf.sample gitup.conf
[#] gitup ports
[#] make -C /usr/ports/graphics/drm-kmod install clean

... and if that 8265 will fail to work - you can overcome that in several ways:
https://vermaden.wordpress.com/2022/09/14/freebsd-cope-with-wifi-fuckup/
But first - share what and how You did tried to use that WiFi.

Bonjour,
