As we might be getting some new folks in the coming days, and there's going to be a lot of loud, mean discourse about them, I want to clearly state, for the record, to anyone listening:

You are welcome here. Don't pay attention to the assholes who tell you you're doing it wrong. Block them and move on. Find the quieter folks. The ones that are just focused on their own content creation and having good productive discussions for the purpose of exposing themselves to new ideas. Even the folks that never really say much, but are always happy to like a post of someone else expressing their own happiness. It may be a little difficult to find us in all the noise, but we're here, I promise.

Please, give fedi a chance. You make it better by being here ❤️

Also, I'm so sorry for what I'm sure is an almost unbearable loss for many of you. I'm lucky to have been able to choose to leave the old platforms and can't imagine just how hard it is to have lost the platform you were using only yesterday.

If y'all need help rebuilding your audience, don't be afraid to ask for boosts occasionally!
