I tend toward lab lead--regardless, while a lab leak has attendant liabilities that will be ignored if it is true--EITHER scenario requires a) far more stringent lab protocols, discussion of "gain-of-function" issues etc. and b) FAR more effort around mitigating ecosystem damage by humans resulting in enormous risks for pandemics.

What will happen? Nothing. Business as unusual until many workers die and billionaires are left wondering what happened. Then they die too.
