Saw a post about decluttering.
"Or the 12,12,12 challenge.
Find 12 items to donate, 12 to throw away, and 12 items to relocate. This can be done in under an hour. "
Holy fuck. If my brain would let me do that in under an hour, clutter would never be an issue in the first place π.

@jamesbritt
To do that in under an hour, you would have to average under 100 seconds per item for 36 items straight, without getting distracted or delayed even once.
Definitely not ADHD friendly!

@jamesbritt just an aside, something my wife and I started doing. We have a cluttered basement full of old crap from storage. Every Sunday morning we go down and deal with one box. Just one box, no more, no matter how little time it takes. The contents are split into "keep upstairs somewhere", "donate" and "garbage". After a few months it's more than half cleared. Sometimes we switch and clear a shelf, or pack cartons for recycling, but the key is to do just one thing, every Sunday.

Good plan. I can do more things when I do it as a series of small tasks. Otherwise I feel overwhelmed or think I have schedule it for later, which never comes.
