Did you know that there's a theory that the classic cattle call had less to do with the animals and more with being conspicuous and attracting male company? I mean just imagine being a young lady sitting on an alp all day just keeping an eye on the herd. Would be nice if there was a hunting party passing through or something, wouldn't it?
