In my experience, Linux Mint is probably the best out of the box experience distribution. My weird sound system with connected TV and stuff - never worked with other distros, but mint is doing everything correct.

It always just works. And works great.

@maique exactly! I sometimes run for new/shiny things, and after two weeks, come back to mint again.
