@yujiri most people don't even know to think about shit like that, and sooooo much of the inspiration and building blocks they're left to work with come from past societies where that was how things were

@detondev hmm but i think at least some of the times it's intentional, the first mistborn trilogy has a protagonist who wants a democracy and a "wise" character who convinces him to be a king

@yujiri oh yes what i said is how it is generally, but there will always be the more ideologically driven ones, especially from the authors who are christian or similar considering how that shit orients your thinking about Big Divine Hero People regardless of how consious you are of it
