Coven Farm

Year 2 Week 2

Lots of planting this week! I built myself a seed maker, so I've been spending some time carefully organizing my seeds and making new ones as needed. I like to be as self-sufficient as possible with that sort of thing. According to the manual, I should spend about half my produce making new seeds if I want to keep up with what I harvest.

I also won a few kegs from the mayor's prize booth! Got them set up making some wine from a few of the powdermelons I harvested last month.

My tiny little house is starting to get pretty damn crowded now with those 4 kegs, 3 preserve jars, 2 fridges and the multitude of chests I've got my goods organized into. Definitely gonna have to get that second round of renovations soon that Robin keeps trying to sell me.

Oh! The fishing is going well! Gunther over at the museum gave me an old key they'd been hanging on to in thanks for donating so much to them last year. Turns out the key opens the sewer grate in town. Pretty weird key for the museum to have, if you ask me, but I discovered the sewer is a pretty good place to practice fishing. Loads of carp down there, so it's mostly easy catches, if not very profitable. That being said, there must be something crazy in the water down there because I also caught this huge monster of a carp! It was quite a battle and took 3 attempts before I wore it down enough to catch it. Nasty looking thing, but seems like it'll be valuable to someone.

Went to the egg festival again this year. Won the egg hunt this time!

My new ducks finally started laying eggs, too! Not a big fan of duck mayonnaise, but lots of other folks seem to, so I'll happily keep making it.

Oh, speaking of coop animals, I found this creepy black egg with red spots the other day in the mines. Seems healthy and normal beside the coloration, so I'm gonna trying incubating it and see what comes out.
