Americans for the past 90 years:

Why did the Germans fail to prevent the rise of the nazis? What was wrong with them??? I wouldn't be friends with nazis. I wouldn't hang out in a nazi bar.

Americans in 2025:

You can't ask me to delete Twitter, Facebook or Instagram! You cant make me log out for a week! That's where all my friends are! Wah!

@ShaulaEvans I have been laughing since I was a teenager at "it couldn't happen here". I was watching the early stages of it happening in the racism rising around me.

This was in the early '80s, I should note.
