I'm chatting with a friend about this brutally cold weather and I realized that I did a thread ages ago about wintry mountain man romances to keep you warm on a cold night. lol

Give me a sec to dig it up and I will repost that thread.

It's not a bad way to keep warm! 1/n

When a runaway bride races off in a snowstorm, a car crash on icy mountain roads strands her on the doorstep of a reclusive mountain man. (Apparently if you're a mountain man & you're patient, women eventually fall from the sky.)

I loved narrating the bride in "Saved by the Mountain Man" because she's fed up, she deserves better—& she finds it! I want that for all of us.

It also has one of the most caring & nurturing scenes I've ever narrated. 4/n

If that's not enough to keep you warm, I also narrate super spicy audiobooks that I generally don't mention on this account, but if you send me a DM, I'll let you know where you can find them.

How spicy are they? Extremely spicy. 😉

I should add that if you have any questions about any of the audiobooks I narrate, or if you'd like help finding a book for yourself or a friend, please ask! I'm happy to help.

The books are for sale on Audible, Amazon and Apple Books (the authors choose the platforms, I do not, before you yell at me). You can hear an audio sample of each book on its store listing if you want to check out my voice. 😉

@summersun704 I choose what I audition for, and then authors hire me or not.

I've also done a bulk contract where I agreed to do a number of books for an author before the books were specified.

You're welcome! It's a job that's disappearing because computer generated voices are sucking up the jobs but I enjoyed it while it lasted.

@ShaulaEvans I'm so sorry to hear that! I much prefer human narration, when it comes to stories; when it comes to things like textbooks, I actually prefer synthesized speech for whatever reason. Although there are some decent and even pleasant computer voices these days, nothing quite compares to human narration where tone or inflection are concerned. Back in the day (late 90's-early 2000's), I had some cassette textbooks that people recorded and they were ... let's just say they left a lot to be desired. The readers would eat, drink, and even belch while recording.

@summersun704 Oh no! That was so disrespectful of the textbook narrators. I'm so sorry.

I actually got started in narration as a volunteer at university, recording textbooks and papers onto cassette. I took it seriously: I had an acting background and I was a fellow student, so I understood that it was important. It was a privilege to do the work and I learned so much. I really enjoyed it.

@ShaulaEvans I got through it. Lol My goodness, so much has changed for me since then. Which types of books did you typically narrate? Now you've got me curious. Can you send me a link or get me a list or...??? I'm interested to hear what your voice sounds like. :)
