Just to manage expectations, Loops is still in experimental stage, and the same developer is lead dev on Pixelfed so I'm guessing they're busy with that at the moment?

@angie_marie2 Thank you for this, it’s perfect! Yes, it’s all too complex. But it’s also in everyone’s control. So what we need is for bright people to take the tools that exist here & create a simpler version of it!

I find that people are way nicer here because there’s no algorithm pushing the a$$holes in your face. Also, the no ads thing is huge. No one is making money off of you in the Fediverse!

I hope you stay here after they flip TikTok back on. Show tiktokers what freedom looks like!

What’s super cool about the Fediverse is not only the interoperability part (which you brilliantly explained) but also the fact that you can host your own platforms, thereby fully owning/controlling your content. For example, I’m now self-hosting my own Pixelfed instance: @ele 🤗
