Watching Miss Congeniality for the first time. Sandra Bullock’s apartment looks like…an apartment a mid-salary-range professional would have ACTUALLY had in NYC at the time? (Nowadays there would probably be at least one roommate.) After seeing so many set-in-NYC things where a waitress has a $20,000/month apartment, I’m impressed. #MissCongeniality #Film #movies

@rednikki The number of times “Because the oil and petrochemical refinery state wouldn’t fit on the license plate” got busted out when my parents lived in NJ was nontrivial.

@swachter I enjoyed the heck out of it! There were a few things that were definitely A Different Time (Benjamin Bratt’s character dating an undergrad?) but we both laughed out loud a lot and I would totally watch it again. It was fun seeing Shatner and Bergen together in this - I remember them playing off each other in Boston Legal.
