I'll be over here building an open hardware switch for it to plug into.
Power supply is done, first 24 port QSGMII line card is on my bench, and I still have to make a little adapter board to interface it with another FPGA board to test it.
Hoping to have the benchtop prototype pushing packets by the spring or summer then order the final FPGA board and do the mechanical side of a 48+2 port 1U chassis design.

@azonenberg @erincandescent Fully open hardware FPGA-based NIC is our dream! But making such HW is expensive and difficult. Open hardware switch will be great too!
