Considering signing up for a pixelfed account to replace insta for posting random pics (not that I normally do but...)

I would prefer to pick a server based outside the US. Is pixelfed.de a good choice, or do people recommend something else?

Leaning towards pixey.org since it's local, but will keep the NL and DE servers in my back pocket if that doesn't work out (the real advantage of federation!)

Does pixelfed server migration include content, or do you have to repost everything?
